About Me

Hello & welcome to my blog! I’m Stephanie, a Travel Nurse from Milwaukee, WI.

In May of 2017, I graduated from Carroll University, a private school in my hometown, Waukesha, WI. During college, I played center-midfield on the women’s soccer team and had 3 jobs… all while somehow managing to stay sane as a nursing student.

After college, I took a deep breath and thought, “wow, I’m glad that’s over!” and landed my first big girl job as a Resource Pool Registered Nurse (RN) at Froedtert Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Milwaukee, WI. In 15 months, I learned so much about what it actually takes to be an RN: blood, sweat, tears, patience, sleep, excessive amounts of coffee. Moreover, I discovered the type of nurse I wish to continually strive to become.

When I eventually grew comfortable in my acquired skills and adaptability through working on 15+ speciality units, I decided it was time to challenge myself and take “float nurse,” to a whole other level.
